The Opportunity

Senior Specialist reports to the Senior Director Global Compensation and contributes to global compensation and benefits programs that support our global talent strategy.

Partner with HR and business leaders to ensure competitive, equitable and compliant total rewards practices across regions while driving operational excellence and data‑informed decision‑making.

Lead the design and implementation of global compensation and benefits programs—including salary administration, short‑term and long‑term incentive plans, employee benefits, salary packaging, retirement, cross‑border employee relocation and management.

Responsible for the Career Framework and Job Catalogue in Workday, ensuring HR, managers and employees understand design, philosophy and process and that HR governance is in place to equity and consistency.

Conduct global market benchmarking studies to evaluate competitiveness and recommend adjustments to compensation and benefits strategies, including pay equity and pay transparency studies.

Use external market data, update the global salary scales on an annual basis according to the global compensation philosophy and communicate the outcome of the review to HR managers ensuring Workday is up to date.

Help design and implement new global C&B operational processes in Workday, including the new Career Framework and the advanced compensation salary planning tool.

Collaborate with HR Business Partners, Finance and leadership to communicate total rewards strategies, provide guidance on compensation decisions and support change management efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.

Prior experience working in HR, including a compensation and benefits specialist role.

Knowledge of the annual compensation and benefits operations cycle, applicable legislation, government regulations and standard company compensation and benefits policies.

Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP).

Ability to use advanced Excel functions to develop comprehensive analysis and proposals for remuneration.

Knowledge of principles and procedures for compensation and benefits management.

Align global compensation and benefits programs taking local regulatory requirements into consideration.

Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future.

Compensation range: $114,000–$155,000 annual. This job description is a general description of essential job functions and is not intended as an employment contract.

Travel & Location

This is a remote position with a preference for the Chicago region to work in the Chicago office two days per week.
