Director of Engineering – Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) – Stark Tech – Buffalo, NY Stark Tech is a leading provider of facilities and energy solutions, integrating cutting‑edge systems and offering energy‑efficient equipment and services. Overview As Director of Engineering, you will lead all aspects of design, engineering and project management for RNG and other skidded systems. You will manage the Engineering team, mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement of engineering processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and engineering of RNG and other skidded systems applications.

Manage the entire Engineering team, providing feedback, leadership, mentoring and communication of company goals.

Develop, implement and continuously improve Engineering processes and procedures.

Coordinate project management activities for low‑volume, high‑value, engineered order skid fabrication and pump skids.

Apply LEAN and CI activities to engineering processes.

Work with ASME Pressure Vessel Code, pipe welding specifications and certifications.

Maintain formalized Quality Management Systems and ISO certification compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related discipline required; Master’s in engineering or MBA preferred.

5+ years of experience supervising engineers with demonstrated strength in project management.

Experience with low volume high value, engineered to order skid fabrication.

Experience with pump skids or other high flow fluid engineered skids.

Experience with LEAN and CI (continuous improvement) activities.

Understanding of RNG equipment including advanced gas compression, rotating equipment and processing systems preferred.

Advanced computer skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite required; CAD and ERP experience a plus.

Ability to set and direct design and engineering philosophy and approach to meet customer needs.

Strong communication and customer service skills required.

Experience with formalized Quality Management Systems and ISO certification a plus.

Experience with ASME Pressure Vessel Code, pipe welding specifications and certifications a plus.

Location & Salary Buffalo, NY | Salary range: $180,000 – $220,000 | Full‑time
