Responsibilities
Serve as the outsourced Controller/CFO for multiple nonprofit clients.
Prepare financial reporting for management and board decision‑making, including presentations.
Recommend and implement improvements to accounting operations, internal controls, and compliance policies.
Handle transactional activities: accounts payable, accounts receivable (revenue recognition and billing), payroll, general accounting, reconciliations, month‑end close, and workpaper maintenance.
Analyze and visualize data, develop budgets and forecasts.
Manage grant reporting and funder allocations.
Prepare for and manage annual audits.
Provide client and staff training opportunities.
Qualifications
Passionate about working with nonprofit organizations.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5–7 + years of accounting experience.
Experience in a remote environment preferred.
Ability to manage multiple clients independently and respond on a timely basis.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience with QuickBooks and electronic bill‑pay systems.
Non‑profit accounting, public accounting, and/or consulting experience is a plus.
CPA certification is a plus.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Customized cover letter explaining interest and qualifications is required.
