The Supervisor of Nursing - CICU is a full-time position that will work night shifts. The Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) is 27 bed cardiac and medical critical care unit. We specialize in pre and post-operative cardiac, cardiomyopathy patients requiring mechanical circulatory support, as well as heart failure and post-MI cardiology patient, IABP, Swan-Ganz, CRRT, TTM, DKA, Pacemakers, Severe Sepsis, and Respiratory Failure. Under the direction of the nurse manager, Director, or Executive Director, the Charge Nurse/Nursing Supervisor provides an optimal environment and assists in overseeing and directing unit activities and personnel in order to ensure high quality patient care. Plans, organizes, controls and coordinates the department activities ensuring high quality patient care and efficient, cost-effective service. Adheres to the ANA Nursing Administration: Scope and Standards of Practice. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Nursing California Registered Nurse License upon hire National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire One professional certification in related area upon hire 2 years Recent clinical experience in specialty area Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience Preferred Qualifications
