Overview
The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) is seeking a service-oriented, detail-driven IT Specialist to join our Information Technology team. This role is a cornerstone of our organization, providing essential support to staff and ensuring our technology runs smoothly every day. Location: Milwaukee, WI (onsite) Salary: $23.08–$27.05 per hour Responsibilities
Provide Level 1 IT support/help desk for AEM staff, responding to 25–40 requests per week with a focus on consistent and timely customer service. Conduct new staff IT orientations, conference room AV overviews, and one‑month follow‑up meetings. Support external Teams users and onboarding of guests. Set up and maintain conference room AV, including monthly functionality checks and meeting support. Assist with IT Floater queue management and coordinate with the IT Coordinator. Conduct bi‑monthly KnowBe4 security awareness phishing tests and provide follow‑up training. Support the Customer Contact Center (8x8 platform) for the customer success team. Help set up approved AEM event and form setups in SMART. Provide troubleshooting and support for Fax.Plus and other technology platforms. Requirements
Associate’s degree or certification in a technology field and 1–2 years of relevant experience. Strong customer service orientation and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and related technology platforms. Attention to detail and a passion for teaching/training others. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Product knowledge and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment. About AEM
