Associate Attorney – Education Law Practice
Protouch Staffing is hiring an Associate Attorney to join the Southern California Education Law Practice Group in Riverside, California. The role focuses on providing legal counsel to K‑12 schools, community colleges, and other public and private educational entities. Key Responsibilities
Advise district and school administrators on all aspects of personnel management, including employee discipline, dismissal, and release. Guide clients in responding to California Public Records Act requests, complying with the Brown Act, and avoiding and addressing conflicts of interest. Represent local educational agencies in administrative hearings. Counsel management on questions involving employee leaves of absence and disability accommodations. Assist Title IX and Uniform Complaint Officers with administering the complaint process in accordance with law and policy. Investigate and/or serve as a decision‑maker in Title IX cases and other matters involving students and employees. Provide relevant training for clients on topics of interest and participate in internal and external conferences and marketing opportunities. Qualifications
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing. 4+ years of labor and/or employment law experience, preferably for educational or other public entities. Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. Litigation and/or administrative hearing experience is a plus. Investigations and Title IX experience is a plus. Ability to build and maintain effective client relationships. Proven experience managing multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Salary and Benefits
Base salary range $135,000—$160,000. The Firm offers a bonus program and a generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, and profit‑sharing contribution.
