At Jack Henry, we deliver technology solutions that are digitally transforming and empowering community banks and credit unions. As part of the JH Platform Delivery team, you will contribute to our Technology Modernization Strategy by building new banking applications and shared platform services using a cloud‑and‑microservices based technology stack.
This position may be worked remotely but you must reside within 70 miles of one of our office locations in Allen, TX; Birmingham, AL; Cedar Falls, IA; Charlotte, NC; Lenexa, KS; Louisville, KY; Monett, MO; Springfield, MO. Occasional travel, up to 5%, is required for meetings, trainings or conferences.
Salary range for this position is $80,000–115,000 depending on candidate experience and geographic location.
Responsibilities
Build, test, deploy, maintain, and scale backend services in a microservices architecture in an agile development environment.
Collaborate to identify needs, prioritize and plan work, and develop solutions that keep pace with product development.
Gain a deep understanding of specific banking‑related domains your team owns and understand how changes in those domains impact products.
Participate with customer support teams to resolve or diagnose defects and issues.
Continue to grow your technical skill set.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of programming experience.
Proficient in back‑end object‑oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python, and willing to expand your skill set.
Experience debugging issues in production, identifying customer issues, or resolving problems with a release pipeline or deployment.
Desired Skills
Experience programming in Golang.
Experience in Financial Technology (FinTech) – working on ACH, Wire Transfers, and Positive Pay.
Experience working in a microservices architecture.
Hands‑on experience with continuous integration pipelines, observability, monitoring, SQL, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure).
Self‑motivation and ability to work independently.
Sense of ownership of deliverables, from product managers to production support.
