$65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will play a crucial part in Kitchen Cabinet Distributors finance department. Responsibilities include reconciling accounts, supporting month‑end close, analyzing financial data for discrepancies, assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and supporting audits. Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, proficiency in accounting software, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities

Participate in month‑end closing activities, including the preparation of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Reconcile all bank accounts monthly and post cash activities to the general ledger. Assist with fixed asset management including forecast updates, recording of new acquisitions & disposals, processing depreciation entries, and maintenance of asset records. Record new debt obligations, including capital leases, and related month‑end adjusting entries. Support audit requests including reconciliations and pulling details for support. Assist in the budgeting process. Support internal financial reporting activities. Analyze income statements to identify trends and variances. Interface with other departments, furnishing necessary financial information and support as required. Assist with special projects and ad‑hoc analysis as needed. Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles. Hard worker and driven with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Strong attention to detail, highly organized, and ability to problem solve. Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, vital for effective collaboration and conveying financial information. Ability to focus on details and meet deadlines. Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited university. Preferred 2 years of experience in accounting/finance or equivalent work experience. Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on advanced Excel skills, and a preference for experience with NetSuite, SAP Concur and Planful. Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Experience in account reconciliations and understanding of basic month end close procedures.
