This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Berkeley Community Mental Health Center, 403 Stoney Landing Road, Moncks Corner, SC 29461.
Responsibilities for the Program Coordinator II (QA Director):
Plan, develop, implement, monitor and evaluate BCMHC quality assurance program. Include evaluation of treatment quality, appropriateness of all clinical care and interpreting clinical outcome information to address quality successes and gaps. Complete required audits, create and monitor quality improvement plans, complete annual outcome reports, update relevant policies and procedures. Coordinate and communicate effectively with multiple Center programs and staff.
Serve as Center Corporate Compliance & Privacy Officer to ensure thorough education, compliance, monitoring, patient privacy and investigation in accordance with OMH, State and Federal regulations. Provide direction and consultation to staff regarding privacy and confidentiality matters. Monitor Adverse Incident reporting. Acts as liaison with community partners as needed.
Lead the Quality Improvement team. Participate in the coordination of the Strategic Vision process. Ensure satisfaction surveys are complete and information is utilized for improvements.
Manage MCO Prior Authorization processes and Patient Advocate functions through supervision of relevant admin staff.
Oversee and direct the credentialing of clinical staff and works with HR regarding onboarding and orientation functions. Help ensure staff are trained in relevant areas such as DLA-20, suicide prevention, and/or other required areas.
Serve on the BCMHC Executive Council, assist in identifying areas of inefficiency that jeopardize the mission of Center, make reports for the Board of Directors regarding outcomes.
Adhere to Center, OMH and State Corporate Compliance policies, procedures and regulations, lead CARF initiatives and ensure area is CARF accredited.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
A master's degree and licensure as an LPC, LISW-CP, or LMFT.
Knowledge of quality assurance practices and experience preferred.
Must be available for callback during crisis/disasters/emergencies as this position is considered essential.
Must possess an unrestricted state of SC driver's license.
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

Receive written plan delineating job responsibilities.
Have knowledge of/access to BCMHC, SCDBHDD/OMH and State policies, procedures and statutes.
Exercise discretion in day-to-day clinical/programmatic areas.
Execute sound professional judgement.
Have knowledge/skills to conduct psychosocial rehabilitation services, screen for substance use disorders, and formulate goals and implement treatment plans.
Have the ability to function in CMH setting and in an outreach capacity within the community. Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team and liaison with community. Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
