RN Coordinator Per Diem Days Position Summary The Transfer Center RN Clinical Coordinator coordinates a patient-centered admission process for patients transferring into the Abrazo Community Health Network/Carondelet System ensuring placement in an appropriate level of care bed and financial screening per EMTALA regulations. The RN Clinical Coordinator employs critical thinking skills to expedite admissions into ACHN/Carondelet while demonstrating ACHN/Carondelet’s Mission, Vision, Values and Service Standards in all interactions with referring facilities, physicians, employees, and guests.

Organizational and leadership skills

Ability to decipher specific messages with background noise

Effective communication skills – phone etiquette, written and verbal – with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and families

Experienced at multi-tasking

Ability to present self in positive and professional manner, exhibiting confidence, tact, and enthusiasm

Must be sensitive to diverse cultural and bilingual issues

Adept at interpreting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data

Ability to quickly triage, critically think in high pressure situations and prioritize

Minimum Education Graduation from accredited nursing program

Preferred Education BSN preferred

Minimum Experience Minimum of 5 years continuous clinical experience in a critical/acute care setting with adult neuro/trauma/cardiovascular/critical care or emergency room nursing preferred. Ability to manage initial assessment data and prioritize patient care with appropriate decision making.

Preferred Experience 8 years of critical care, emergency room, or house supervisor experience

Required Certifications / Licensure Registered Nurse with current state licensure. Current BLS certification required;

Required Course Training EMTALA Training through Tenet HealthStream within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Certifications / Registration ACLS training preferred.
