RN Coordinator Per Diem Days Position Summary The Transfer Center RN Clinical Coordinator coordinates a patient‑centered admission process for patients transferring into the Abrazo Community Health Network/Carondelet System, ensuring placement in an appropriate level of care bed and financial screening per EMTALA regulations. The RN Clinical Coordinator employs critical thinking skills to expedite admissions into ACHN/Carondelet while demonstrating ACHN/Carondelet’s Mission, Vision, Values and Service Standards in all interactions with referring facilities, physicians, employees, and guests.

Special Skills

Organizational and leadership skills

Ability to decipher specific messages with background noise

Effective communication skills – phone etiquette, written and verbal – with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and families

Experienced at multi‑tasking

Ability to present self in a positive and professional manner, exhibiting confidence, tact, and enthusiasm

Must be sensitive to diverse cultural and bilingual issues

Adept at interpreting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data

Ability to quickly triage, critically think in high‑pressure situations and prioritize

Education

Minimum education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program

Preferred education: BSN preferred

Experience

Minimum experience: 5 years of continuous clinical experience in a critical/acute care setting with adult neuro/trauma/cardiovascular/critical care or emergency room nursing preferred

Preferred experience: 8 years of critical care, emergency room, or house supervisor experience

Certifications & Licensure

Registered Nurse with current state licensure

Current BLS certification required

ACLS training preferred

Required Training

EMTALA Training through Tenet HealthStream within 30 days of hire
