In this visible and exciting role, the Manager, Revenue Recognition Strategy will assist in monthly and quarterly processes including Stand‑alone selling price (SSP) analysis and reporting, share responsibilities for SOX compliance, maintain and integrate acquired entities, and lead system projects within the Revenue Recognition team. The individual will be a subject matter expert in Revenue Recognition, supporting internal revenue teams and business partners in reviewing, guiding, and implementing new go‑to‑market initiatives.

Responsibilities

Review SSP calculations and continually enhance and streamline operational processes as business evolves.

Identify gaps in policies and procedures stemming from new go‑to‑market and sales initiatives.

Draft technical accounting memos related to new guidance and non‑standard transactions and business models.

Create presentations to deliver to company management and external auditors on non‑standard and highly technical topics.

Assist with IT system projects including Revenue Management System upgrades and acquired entity integration.

Work closely with business partners to address technical revenue recognition concerns for potential new deal models, pricing and packaging changes, and partnerships.

Improve existing processes and identify areas for automation.

Develop and maintain SOX compliance.

Required Qualifications

5+ years combined Big 4 and/or Industry Finance experience specializing in revenue recognition.

Degree or equivalent relevant experience. Experience will be evaluated on core competencies (leadership, military, volunteer, work experience).

Very proficient in ASC 606 and SOX accounting standards.

Experience researching technical accounting topics and drafting technical accounting memos and policies.

Strong MS Excel skills.

Strong attention to detail.

Ability to dive into results with minimal oversight.

Project management skills including planning, task assignment, status tracking, and reporting.

Excellent interpersonal skills; articulate verbally and in writing.

Willingness to debate difficult issues and present to an audience.

Cultural sensitivity and awareness of regional business practices.

Preferred Qualifications

SaaS and Software revenue recognition experience.

CPA/CRC.

Adaptability in a dynamic, fast‑growing company.

Relationship building with executives across functions.

Experience in hi‑tech industry.

Experience using Salesforce and revenue management software such as Zuora Revenue.

Experience using Tableau.

This role is hybrid and requires office attendance 3 days per week.
