Finance Manager – Gaming 3P Ecosystem
Join Microsoft’s Team Xbox as a Finance Manager in the 3P ecosystem, driving the financial strategy for third‑party premium subscriptions and royalty impacts. This role brings financial acumen to business decisions, driving growth and ensuring the financial health of Xbox.
Responsibilities
Build deep stakeholder relationships by providing expert financial consulting, influencing decisions and serving as a trusted advisor.
Provide insights on premium subscription performance, royalty cost performance, and fully packaged product strategy through variance analysis, budget and forecast review.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and the Royalties team to gather performance data to project accurate forecasting and influence long‑range planning.
Convey complex financial concepts, insights, and solutions in a clear, concise, and compelling manner using storytelling techniques.
Ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and reporting requirements by reviewing the accuracy of financial documents and business processes.
Consult with business partners on sharing financial information and maintaining consistency with corporate policies.
Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or related field OR Bachelor’s Degree in the same fields AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership, finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience applying structured analytics and Excel modeling skills, demonstrated through professional projects, certifications, OR relevant work experience.
2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi‑product/multi‑segment finance roles.
1+ year(s) work experience in a matrix‑based organization.
1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
Pay and benefits Financial Analysis IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,800 – $151,900 per year. In the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range is USD $100,800 – $168,000 per year. Apply for the role until October 30th, 2025.
