Senior Tax Specialist – Pharma (Hybrid-Tampa, FL)
We are seeking a Senior Tax Specialist for a global pharmaceutical client. You will play a pivotal role within our Latin America team and oversee tax compliance and reporting for the region, including transfer pricing documentation, intercompany transaction analysis, and tax provision support. This position requires ensuring accurate application of tax treaties and withholding tax while maintaining robust e‑invoicing and tax compliance processes.
Base pay range $75,310.00/yr - $88,600.00/yr
Responsibilities
Transfer Pricing and Tax Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for transfer pricing reports in alignment with local and international standards.
Intercompany Transactions: Prepare detailed schedules and perform analysis of intercompany transactions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
Withholding Tax and Tax Treaty Compliance: Execute and oversee controls to verify the correct application of tax treaties and withholding tax on foreign suppliers.
Tax Provision and Reporting: Support the preparation of ASC 740 tax provisions for Latin American jurisdictions, ensuring precise and timely submissions; prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries for tax payments, statutory tax provisions, and manage tax balance tracking.
e‑Invoicing Controls: Supervise monthly e‑invoicing controls to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Forecasting and Cash Flow: Support the forecast preparation to determine annual tax payment estimations; prepare and supervise tax cost center spending, PO utilization for LATAM Region.
SharePoint Management and Coordination: Supervise access to SharePoint, ensuring tax compliance information is kept up‑to‑date and properly uploaded; coordinate with internal and external teams to gather and disseminate relevant tax compliance documentation.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements in tax compliance and reporting; stay informed on evolving tax laws, treaties, and regulations impacting client compliance efforts.
Requirements
Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in accounting or tax within a corporation or firm environment in transfer pricing and tax documentation.
Proficient understanding of transfer pricing regulations and tax treaty applications.
Experience with ASC 740 tax provisions.
Proficiency in preparing and managing journal entries and statutory tax provisions.
Fluency in English and Spanish is desirable.
Proficiency in MS Excel, SAP, OneSource tax stream, and tax research tools.
Familiarity with SharePoint and Alteryx is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting; postgraduate degree is preferred.
