Senior Analyst – Acosta/Sam’s Advisor – Rogers, Arkansas; Full‑time; Hybrid (3 days on‑site).
This position is a #Hybrid role working in the Rogers, Arkansas office. As a Senior Analyst supporting the Acosta/Sam’s Advisor team, you are a trusted, unbiased resource delivering strategic insights into space analysis and merchandising solutions, leveraging deep knowledge of the Modular Relay process to shape category strategy. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills are essential for partnering with merchants and influencing cross‑functional decision‑making.
Responsibilities
Deliver advanced analytical support to merchants and modular planning teams, driving data‑informed decisions that optimize category performance. Lead complex projects related to category updates, timelines, and implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and execution excellence. Collaborate closely with merchants to shape merchandising strategies, leveraging advanced software tools and industry best practices. Ensure accuracy and consistency of product images and dimensional data to support modular integrity and visual merchandising standards. Utilize space analytics tools, Blue Yonder (JDA) tables, formulas, highlights, charts, and labels to conduct in‑depth modular evaluations and identify optimization opportunities. Track key performance indicators and deliver actionable insights through clear, strategic communication to Sam’s Merchant teams. Manage test‑and‑learn initiatives, analyze results, and provide comprehensive report‑outs to guide merchant decision‑making. Maintain and enhance store and product attribute data to ensure accuracy and relevance across category planning efforts. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or related work experience substituting for the educational requirement. Experience: 1–3 years of related experience. Preferred: Category Management Certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of Walmart/Sam’s Modular Relay process and merchandising principles; experience with space management software (Blue Yonder /JDA) and scan data analysis; proficiency in Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with syndicated data tools (POS, Panel, Retail Link, Madrid); ability to diagnose situations and identify potential solutions; independent data mining utilizing CPG math concepts and tools.
