Your role in our mission Apply your skills to support Gainwell as we help clients deliver better health and human services outcomes.

Develop new and make changes and enhancements in Legacy Members and Eligibility subsystem.

Detailed design, developments, and maintenance of existing applications in Mainframe Cobol, JCL, CICS, VSAM, IDCAMS, IBM Utilities, DB2 SQL coding, and DB2 Utilities.

Working as a team member and independently in all stages of software development to include detailed design, code, test, test results presentation, production deployment, and providing on-call production support.

Use file exchange protocols (NDM/FTP) and work with mainframe integration on modern technology platforms.

Strengthen our capabilities as you design, develop, install, test and document applications software – including server, client and web components

Play a vital role in designing, documenting and delivering technical architecture solution elements

Support coordination between application architects and developers to make sure design requirements are accurate and deliver the desired ROI for clients

Define and develop project requirements, functional specifications and detailed application solution designs for clients

Focus on the details as you develop technical documentation and test plans to support integration and deployment

Advance key goals and objectives for Gainwell and our clients by working closely with software developers

What we’re looking for

3+ years of experience with design, development and maintenance of mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, CICS, VSAM, IDCAMS, IBM Utilities, and DB2 SQL coding/utilties.

Experienced working on all stages of software development to include detailed design, code, test, test results presentation, production deployment, and providing on-call production support.

Experience with file exchange protocols (NDM/FTP) and mainframe integration with modern technology platforms.

Desired experience in any of the following:

Expeditor, Intertest or other related debugging tools

Medicaid, Medicare, medical insurance and/or Legacy Members & Eligibility substems

ISPW and Control-M

Opportunities to travel through your work (0-10%)

Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and travel as required

The pay range for this position is $60,000 – $80,000 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
