Opportunity The Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates, P.C. is seeking a skilled Employment Law Attorney to join our employment division, The Labor Champ. This person will work hands‑on from inception of a case to trial with the assistance of an enthusiastic and knowledgeable team. Litigation will cover a broad range of employment cases including wage and hour disputes, harassment, wrongful termination, and whistleblower claims. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in active litigation, including taking and defending depositions, conducting discovery, attending mediation, arguing law and motion, and serving as either first or second chair in arbitration and/or jury trials.
Responsibilities
Handle all aspects of employment litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation and execution
Represent clients in court, mediation, depositions, and arbitration, advocating effectively at each stage
Draft clear and compelling legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements
Communicate effectively and frequently with clients, opposing counsel, and courts, including engaging in regular settlement negotiations on behalf of clients
Manage caseload independently while collaborating with company attorneys and support staff
Requirements
J.D. from an accredited law school
Active State Bar membership in applicable job location
Minimum 2-4 years of employment/labor or similar law experience
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
Excellent communication, negotiation, and courtroom advocacy abilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Benefits
Salary commensurate with your experience ($100,000.00 - $250,000.00)
Commission percentage on settled cases depending on experience
