Political Director
Cooper for North Carolina is hiring a dedicated, organized, and driven Political Director to join our growing political team. This is an opportunity to join a top‑tier Senate race and help send Roy Cooper to the U.S. Senate. This is a full‑time, in‑person, paid position that is based in Raleigh, North Carolina. Responsibilities
Develop and manage relationships with elected officials, party leaders, advocacy groups, unions, and community organizations across North Carolina. Coordinate endorsements and public support from influential political figures and organizations. Represent the campaign at political events, forums, and meetings to build visibility and trust. Advise senior staff on political dynamics, legislative developments, and emerging issues. Monitor opposition campaigns and political trends to inform strategy and messaging. Identify opportunities for strategic alliances and grassroots mobilization. Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor political staff and volunteers. Experience managing high‑stakes political events, surrogate programs, and coalition outreach efforts. Comfortable representing the campaign in public forums, media interviews, and stakeholder meetings. Minimum 1–3 years of experience in political campaigns, government affairs, advocacy, or coalition building. Proven track record of managing political relationships and securing endorsements in North Carolina or similar battleground states. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment. Hours
Full‑time position. This position’s schedule will vary based on the needs of the campaign, and is likely to require evening and weekend work over the course of the election cycle. Compensation
