Job Description And Duties Under the general supervision of the Branch Chief, Office of Examinations & Executive Selection Services, a Staff Services Manager I, the Examination Analyst plans, develops, and implements a full range of examination duties. The incumbent provides excellent customer service to the public and to Departmental employees at all levels of the organization. The analyst plays a vital role in the process of hiring and recruiting Caltrans employees and will work with some of the highest levels of management in the Department to ensure their managerial hires are processed timely and accurately. The analyst is expected to display a positive attitude and cultivate a team environment to help accomplish the Division's goals and mission.
Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Staff Services Analyst exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.
