Overview

Phlebotomist II Float - Mill Valley, CA. Monday to Friday 7:30am-4:30pm with rotational Saturday 7:30-12:30. This position requires a state phlebotomy license. Quest Diagnostics does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV.

Salary offers are based on a range of factors including skills, training, experience, education, and certifications. Eligible candidates may receive an annual performance bonus. Pay range: $26.35 - $30.61 per hour. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available for external applicants.

Responsibilities

• Territory assignment to perform phlebotomy duties within a Patient Service Center, doctor’s office, or other locations as needed
• Draw quality blood samples and prepare specimens for lab testing
• Collect specimens according to established procedures (including drug screens, biometric screening, and insurance exams)
• Enter billing information and collect payment when required
• Coach, mentor, instruct, and serve as a resource advisor for new employees; act as on-site staff contact and provide input to the group lead or supervisor
• Travel to additional doctor’s offices or Patient Service Center sites as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington
• Three years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred
• Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred
• Keyboard/data entry experience
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English
