Completion of a US-approved residency in Anesthesiology or equivalent training and certification. Board Eligibility or Certification in Anesthesiology (equivalence can be considered case-by-case). Research experience is desirable but not required. Job Description:
Perform a wide variety of cases including orthopedics, GYN, community OB, abdominal, general vascular, and kidney transplants. Cardiac cases and treatment of children under 2 years are not required. Skills in regional anesthesia and older children are helpful. Supervise residents, CRNAs, and SRNAs, and perform cases independently if needed. Participate in academic activities including teaching, mentoring, departmental conferences, and faculty meetings. Expect 3-4 overnight calls per month, some from home, with potential evening and weekend calls. Effort distribution may vary based on departmental needs, candidate interests, and grant funding success. Compensation:
Dependent on experience and professorial rank at hiring. Additional Information:
