Entry Level Transportation Engineer

Overview
Stolfus & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Permanent Transportation Engineering EIT with 0-5 years of Civil Engineering experience for our Greenwood Village, CO office. This position is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, curious, and highly skilled professional who wishes to grow with our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and modelling transportation projects throughout Colorado. Base pay range
$80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Designs transportation facilities including interstate highways, interchanges, urban and rural roadways, intersections, and multimodal facilities Prepares studies, reports, plans, and construction packages for a wide variety of transportation projects Performs tasks with professional judgment in applying standard engineering theories, principles, techniques, procedures, and criteria Exercising initiative, judgment and knowledge as required in areas of responsibility Prepares working drawings, details, layouts, quantity calculations, geometric evaluations, and work products Occasionally receives supervision on new aspects of assignments; can perform independent design tasks with limited supervision after initial instruction Coordinates with others for specific assignments as needed Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality Performs field observation work when necessary Some travel may be required Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited school Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam preferred Knowledge and experience with MicroStation OpenRoads (ORD) or AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other applicable software Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office products Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to summarize technical information into accessible forms Self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills A desire to grow personally and professionally while working in a team environment The ability to sit/stand for extended periods at a computer workstation; occasional travel to client facilities and project sites; ability to climb ladders and be physically mobile at construction sites Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions This job operates in a professional office environment Standard office equipment use (computers, copiers, printers, scanners, plotters) Apply
