The Senior Manager of Supply Chain for the Surface and C5 Systems (SC5S) Division is responsible for the strategic execution of the supply chain function, including leading all division sites in combined metrics, and developing forward-looking procurement and proposal strategies for all programs within the business unit across at least eight sites in the continental US and two international business units. This role reports to the Maritime Sector Supply Chain Director and works in a matrixed organization supporting the SC5S Division P&L leader. The role provides strategic support to the division’s business units and coordinates all Supply Chain activities for the division. The individual leads strategy, long-term planning, E3 Initiatives, Supply Chain metrics initiatives, and continuous improvement while collaborating with Supply Chain peers, program management, operations, engineering, finance, and other support functions. The role also focuses on developing a world-class supply chain team through staffing, training, and talent management, and manages workforce priorities to ensure effective execution and reporting to the SC5S VP/GM and executive leadership. The role maintains responsibility for succession planning and organizational and talent development, facilitates Supplier Development, and leads the organization in operating philosophies and business strategies. The objective is to develop, implement, and sustain success metrics and drive performance of all supply chain functions to achieve strong cost and schedule performance and high customer satisfaction. Essential Functions
Collaborates with functional organizations across the division to identify strategic suppliers and subcontractors and meet or exceed performance (cost/schedule/technical) needs. Manages procurement processes and systems, ensuring alignment with Government, Corporate, and Division policies and prime contract requirements. Identifies and executes initiatives to improve performance based on industry best practices. Selects, motivates, and leads a strong team. Supports strategic new business pursuit activities as a subject matter expert for purchased and subcontracted systems and services. Ensures risk management strategies and processes are deployed on critical procurement efforts. Manages division supply chain performance to meet or exceed program and division objectives. Qualifications
US Citizenship required. Broad management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across functions. Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of related experience; Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years; in lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of related experience. Preferred degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA desired. Experience in supply chain management (including sourcing, contracts, and/or subcontract management) in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Proven experience in leading high-performing teams. Solid knowledge of defense supply chain and purchasing processes; experience with FAR/DFARS terms and conditions. Ability to manage organizational change and reengineer workload management approaches. Earned Value Management experience / Previous Control Account Manager experience. Advanced computer skills with solid knowledge of SAP S4 Hana systems. Ability to travel periodically; expected travel is no more than 25%. Preferred Additional Skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of management. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Salary range information and benefits: In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $118,000–$219,000. This is not a guaranteed offer and final compensation may vary based on experience and location.
