$15.00/hr - $18.80/hr Responsibilities

Life Skills Program: Evaluate resident interest, develop Life Skills tailored to each resident’s needs, engage residents throughout the day and evening, ensure daily engagement in Life Skills or other life enrichment activities, review resident profiles and ISP to tailor Life Skills, lead and motivate others in Life Skill activities in partnership with the Reminiscence Coordinator, organize small groups or clubs, include Life Skills in ISP socialization and leisure sections, act as a role model to encourage staff participation, assist residents with Life Skills stations, document participation according to Sunrise standards, maintain Life Skills stations and supplies, assist with animal/plant care as part of the Life Skills program. Resident Focus: Review and document resident information, ensure personalized Life Skills reflect past interests and current abilities, maintain positive resident relations, assist in Memory Box completion, protect resident confidentiality. Volunteer and Community Focus: Support local community volunteer programs and assist with volunteer orientations and paperwork. Dining Service: Serve meals in the dining room and assist with Life Skills during setup and cleanup. Risk Management and General Safety: Ensure regulatory compliance, promote risk management, follow safety procedures including PPE and SDS, report accidents and hazards, keep pathways clear and compliant with fire codes. Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance: Understand QSR process and standards for enriching resident-centered activities, ensure compliance with laws and Sunrise quality standards, maintain cleanliness and proper attire. Training and Team Success: Work as a team, uphold Team Member Credo and Principles of Service, contribute to engagement programs, attend meetings, maintain required training, and perform other duties as assigned. Core Competencies: Handle multiple priorities, communicate effectively, organizational skills, sound judgment and problem solving, resident-first decision making, ability to work with limited supervision, follow through on tasks. Experience and Qualifications

One (1) year experience with memory-impaired seniors High School diploma/GED (may be required per regulations); certifications may be required per state Ability to lead life enrichment components in the Reminiscence program and connect residents with Life Skills and activities Knowledge to adapt Life Skills to cognitive/functional abilities to motivate residents Ability to inspire volunteers and team members to engage residents Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office, and Sunrise applications; ability to learn new applications If applicable, driver responsibilities per Sunrise Driver job description Benefits
