Global Trade Senior Manager – Collins Aerospace
Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a senior manager to support Aerostructures and Advanced Structures sourcing. The role focuses on trade compliance, risk assessment, and cross‑functional collaboration.
Responsibilities
Lead the Chula Vista Global Trade Site, ensuring all Collins Global Trade policy and legal requirements are implemented.
Manage the Aerostructures export compliance risk assessment process, reviewing procedures, reports, and systems.
Oversee the Advanced Structures China Sourcing approvals and 3201 reviews, analyzing ECCNs to determine dual‑use items.
Deliver on current consent agreements and ongoing support of Collins Global Trade policy and legal requirements.
Build relationships with internal functional groups to support business operations.
Monitor daily due diligence investigations for import or export transactions subject to GTS holds due to licensing or sanctioned party screening.
Develop compliant solutions across all phases of the business lifecycle and support the JC/ECCN and HTS classification requests.
Participate in a rotational after‑hours support team and provide global trade training and communications.
Guide business partners on anti‑boycott/ restrictive trade practices, export screening, export control classification, documentation, tariff classification, sanctions, customs, visitor management, technology transfer, and travel requirements.
Maintain training and audit/assessment programs to ensure internal controls are effective.
Additional GT activities as assigned by the GT Associate Director and travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
Qualifications
University degree with minimum over 10 years relevant experience or advanced degree with at least 7 years experience.
5+ years U.S. global trade and sanctions compliance experience, knowledge of EAR/ITAR, sanctions, and export controls.
3+ years program management experience implementing policy requirements across a complex, global organization.
Working knowledge of SAP/GTS or similar ERPs and Global Trade applications.
U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace industry experience.
Strong time management, prioritization, analysis, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with SharePoint, Tableau, Excel, and Power BI.
Experience in jurisdiction and tariff classification.
Leadership and presentation experience with internal customers and continuous improvement projects.
