Manager, Instrumentation Labs
role at Bell Textron Inc. This position is onsite in Fort Worth, TX. Bell is developing the future of Army Aviation and advanced programs including the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA), Bell 525 Relentless, and HSVTOL, among others. We are seeking a leader to support instrumentation labs across programs and life cycles. What you’ll be doing as a Manager, Instrumentation Labs
Oversee a team of 20 non-exempt engineering technicians, ensuring alignment with program and engineering requirements. Collaborate with engineers and programs to understand measurement needs and ensure accurate execution. Manage staffing, budgeting, estimating, and risk assessment while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders. Foster a safe work environment and ensure compliance within the team. Identify opportunities to improve laboratory operations. Work with Capital to acquire new equipment for enhanced capabilities. Skills and Qualifications
Experience in flight testing or component testing of aircraft and/or related testing systems. Understanding of Instrumentation Lab processes including strain gauges, sensors, signal conditioning, data acquisition, controls systems, and/or calibration. Ability to work well with others in a leadership role achieving successful outcomes for our programs. Demonstrated strong leadership capabilities and decision-making skills. Experience with budgeting, estimating, capital projects, and inventory control. What You Need To Be Successful
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered. Minimum of 10 years of experience in instrumentation or engineering testing, preferably within the aerospace industry. What We Offer You In Return
