We are recruiting for an experienced

Heat Treat Manager

to lead heat treat operations, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and production goals. This is a critical leadership role that combines technical expertise with people management. Overview

This position leads heat treat operations and requires ensuring safety, quality, and on-time production while managing a team of operators and support staff. Responsibilities

Oversee daily heat treat operations, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, and process optimization. Ensure strict compliance with metallurgy specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operators and support staff—fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery of top-quality products. Manage preventative maintenance programs and support Nadcap heat treat audits. Monitor key performance indicators to drive improvements in efficiency, waste reduction, and resource utilization. Provide hands-on leadership with a regular presence on the production floor. Extensive experience in heat treat operations, preferably in small parts manufacturing. Strong technical knowledge of heat treat equipment (furnaces, quench systems) and metallurgy. Background in aerospace, automotive, or heavy industrial manufacturing is highly preferred. Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP, and lean manufacturing principles. Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
