Facilities Mechanic – Lifesciences Manufacturing Quick Facts
Location:
San Diego, CA 92121 Shift:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Duration:
Contract to hire Pay Range:
$25-30/hr, DOE Experience needed
3-5 years’ experience in facilities maintenance plant operations, preferably in a biotech lab environment Experience in HVAC equipment and operations Knowledge of structural, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems Strong computer skills Main duties of the job
Perform maintenance and repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire, Life, Safety, and Control systems for the facility to keep these systems current with applicable standards Monitor operation and maintain refrigeration, water cooling and air conditioning equipment, boilers, heating, ventilating and hot water equipment, pumps, valves, piping and filters, and other mechanical and electrical equipment Schedule and monitor the quality of maintenance work performed by outside contractors Provide troubleshooting and repair support to installers and customers over the telephone Perform preventive maintenance and evaluate systems for continuous improvement The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age or disability, or any other class protected by Federal, State or local laws.
