Process Development Associate

PROCESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ 100% Onsite Weekdays with Weekend support (up to 4 hrs/day and 4 weekend days in a month) as needed. Pay ranges between $50.36 - $52.58 per hour. Required Skills: Hands-on experience conducting Cell Culture experiments especially bench-top and single-use Pilot Scale Bioreactor operation. Familiarity with equipment used in cell culture processes and troubleshooting. Familiarity with cell culture analytical tools such as Vicell Cell Counter, Nova Flex, Cedex Bio HT, Metaflex, and osmometer. Pilot scale experience. Basic understanding of biochemistry and cell metabolic pathways. Knowledge of bioreactor characterization and engineering principles is a plus. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting. Proficient in computer systems and relevant applications. Statistical application and programming are a plus. Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills. Project Description: PD Associate will have the opportunity to drive state-of-the-art innovation and development in upstream process development areas. Focus on upstream process development. Conducting small to large scale bioreactor experiments for cell culture process optimization, which requires some flexible schedule/weekend work. Operating 5L bench top bioreactors, and pilot scale single use bioreactors (50L-250L SUB). Managing laboratory activities such as equipment set-up/calibration, SOP generation, and routine maintenance. Managing laboratory maintenance such as routine equipment cleaning, ordering, and re-stocking of consumables. Supporting media, feed, and chemical solution production activities. Writing technical summaries and development reports. This 12+ month position starts ASAP.
