Job Description
The Quality Engineer II
is a key contributor to product quality, process integrity and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Act as the main quality liaison with suppliers, customers, and internal teams. Resolve quality issues, lead corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement. Inspect and verify conformance of raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods. Report on quality metrics, non-conformances, and recommend improvements. Visit suppliers and customers to assess quality performance and gather feedback. Support new supplier onboarding and AS9102 First Article Inspections. Conduct internal and supplier audits to ensure compliance with ISO9001 and company standards. Deliver training to staff and promote a quality-focused culture. Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and sales. Maintain technical competence and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Perform additional quality engineering tasks as needed.
Requirements/Qualifications
Must possess or be able to obtain (at company’s expense) a Secret level clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite. Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering. 2.5 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Familiar with ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements.
U.S. Export Controls Requirements: This job requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware that is controlled by the export laws of the United States. Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3).
