Overview
AECOM has a thriving, multidisciplinary Water Structural Engineering team in New Orleans and is looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join the growing team in our New Orleans office. The Global Water Team works on high-profile infrastructure projects in the US and overseas, including work for Local and National Governments, Water Authorities, and other clients. Projects span feasibility through design, construction, operation, maintenance, and asset management. Responsibilities
The appropriately qualified applicant will be able to demonstrate a combination of the following responsibilities as a professional or experienced engineer: Support the Structural Department with the layout and design of hydraulic structures, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and related structures. Perform work including complex design considerations such as conflicting requirements, material suitability issues, and difficult coordination. Independently prepare engineering-related calculations. Review work prepared by other engineers within the department. Develop structural technical specifications, plans, and details. Verify compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards/practices; modify guidelines, devise new approaches, and apply existing criteria in novel ways as needed. Coordinate with other in-house engineering disciplines as needed. Perform condition assessments and site visits as needed. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: BA/BS and 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Preferred Qualifications: Professional Engineering (PE) License Master's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering CAD, REVIT Skills Knowledge of computer analysis and design software such as SAP 2000, RISA 3D, STAAD.Pro, SAFE and (or equivalent) Additional Information
Relocation is not available for this role. Sponsorship is not available for this role. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $77,000.00 - $110,000.00. About AECOM
