Commercial and Technical Leadership Program: Program Summary Our commercial sales team, guided by the voice of the customer, develops and markets differentiated, value-creating solutions, services and technologies. We help customers enter new markets faster, expand their product offerings, enhance end-use product performance, build their reputation, attain safety and environmental benefits, meet regulatory objectives, differentiate themselves and win against their competition! We are building our next generation of technical and sales professionals and are seeking recent graduates to begin an exciting career in our Commercial & Technical Development Program. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates who have good interpersonal communication skills and want to utilize their technical skills or business acumen to develop solutions and drive value for customers. This extensive program will include a selling curriculum and business unit specific training, which lasts approximately 9 to 12 months. Our curriculum delivers a train, practice, and apply approach. During this period, individuals will be exposed to customer service, manufacturing and laboratory operations, marketing / product management, learn our Value-Based Selling program, and shadow experienced sellers. Upon completion of the training program, individuals will be assigned to their own territory as a Key Account Manager or Technical Support Engineer where they will be responsible for securing business from prospective and current customers and attaining annual sales and profit objectives. Essential Functions
Learn and implement the company selling process, strategies, and related tools to win new business over the competition Build relationships with existing customers and prospect new customers Identify customer needs through research, prepared questioning and other learned strategies Work with customers on new application development. Develop, execute and manage sales growth plans and sales budgets. Technical Leadership
Support application evaluation and color development process. Work hand-on in the color development lab. Work in the lab to develop and master the key competences (Customer, technology, know-how) and capabilities (skills, raw materials-pigments, dyes, liquid carriers, processes, technology, performance windows) of the product offerings. Attend process trials of new and existing products, Troubleshoot processing problems at existing customers Familiarization of current and legacy product portfolio. Engage customers on quality issues as well as process and technology questions Core Competencies
Communication skills: Effectively respond to customer needs, demonstrate listening, questioning, clarifying and summarizing skills. Results Oriented: Proven track record with sustained business results and topline growth, accountability for follow up and closure. Ability to break complex problems into manageable task and direct necessary resources to meet and beat deadlines. Passion for Excellence: Integrity and resilience a must. High level of collaboration, willing to accept constructive criticism/feedback, lead with example, exhibit and expect hard work, deep passion, and breed success. Strong organizational skills, Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Word & Excel preferred, Works with minimal supervision, Ability to travel up to 30% of the time. Qualifications
QUALIFYING & REQUIREMENTS: BS degree in science (STEM), chemistry business or engineering. Minimum 0-1 years of experience in the sales & Marketing field. Ability to interact with R&D and manufacturing to facilitate developments. Background in the plastics industry but not required. Strong communication and sales skills. Proficient in MS Office: Excel, publisher, Minitab, six sigma and SPC. Details
