POSITION OVERVIEW
Lead work teams in the assembly, test, and troubleshooting of industrial electrical and controls systems and sub-assemblies, including installing motor control centers, assembling control panels, running conduit, pulling and terminating power cable and control wiring, installing lighting and electrical outlets. KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Interpret electrical engineering drawings and communicate requirements to work teams Identify and report discrepancies on electrical and control drawings. Troubleshooting of electrical and controls systems. Ensure project schedule milestones are met. Ensure all quality requirements are met and that required quality documentation is properly completed. Perform coaching of the work team to ensure all cost, quality and schedule requirements are met. Insure all employees adhere to prescribed safety program requirements. Report defective material or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition. Complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision. Other duties as directed by supervisor. Job Skills
Familiarity with NEC code (experience with IEC or other standards is a plus). Ability to read one line and three-line drawings (MV, LV, Control). Practical experience in the installation of electrical equipment including rigid conduit and EMT, power cables (MV and LV), cable termination (MV and LV). Ability to establish effective methods and procedures for installation of electrical equipment and instruments. Familiarity with electrical assembly and fabrication tools and measurement tools (including multimeter and megger test equipment). Ability to perform basic math. Good command of the English language, both written and verbal is a requirement. Experience in supervising the work of others and the ability to effectively coach and lead team members. Good knowledge and practical experience in the proper use of hand, electric and pneumatic tools. Practical experience in the installation of electrical panels (MV, LV, MCC panels), E-stops, horns, warning lights, lighting, grounding, termination of LV and MV equipment Practical experience in the installation of control and instrument systems including installation of field instruments, cabling and termination, fabrication of control panels, and installation of control panels Able to perform commissioning and test activities including insulation test of electrical equipment and cables (MV & LV), point-to-point test and continuity test. Practical experience with installation and termination of Allen Bradley PLCs EDUCATION & TRAINING
High school diploma MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum five years of related factory experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work performed in a shop environment. Exposed to any number of elements but with none present to the extent of being disagreeable. Requires normal vision and absence of color blindness Physical effort equal to frequent moving of up to 50lbs materials. Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach. The use of Safety Glasses is required. The use of earplugs is recommended. Ability to stand up to 10 hours a day (with a lunch in between) and up to 6 days a week; Ability to work in a non-air-conditioned environment.
