Phantom Works Industrial Engineer (Associate or Experienced) Join the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works team located in Hazelwood, MO.

Position Overview As an Industrial Engineer, apply industrial engineering concepts and techniques to optimize products, processes, and services in alignment with program requirements. Develop plant layouts, capacity plans, workflows, and evaluate new technologies for integration into production and service operations.

Responsibilities

Apply industrial engineering concepts, approaches, and techniques to product, process, and services to meet program requirements.

Develop plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows.

Evaluate new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.

Design, maintain, and optimize the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.

Conduct workflow design and analysis.

Develop models, databases, and spreadsheets to analyze data and provide summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders and customers.

Research, design, develop, improve, and implement processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.

Develop and implement plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods.

Create product assembly instructions and standardize assembly practices.

Prepare operations plans, including work statement analysis, budgeting, forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis, and production change to ensure technical goals and objectives are met.

Support execution planning by using project management, planning, and scheduling and shop load practices.

Provide production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility, and recovery planning support.

Ensure compliance with established industry safety, design standards, and ergonomic guidelines.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science, or Computer Science.

Level 2 (Associate): 2+ years of related work experience with a Bachelors OR equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

Level 3 (Experienced): 5+ years of related work experience with a Bachelors OR equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

2+ years partnering with key functions in an integrator/leads role.

Experience with process improvement and Lean Manufacturing.

Experience with Discrete Event Simulation Software (Simio, ProModel, etc.).

Experience with Constraint-Based Scheduling Software (Aurora, MS Project, etc.).

Experience with NX/Unigraphics and/or other 3D CAD software.

Experience implementing APQP and PFMEA to optimize and transition prototype approaches to production processes.

Security Clearance and Eligibility

Requires ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Requires U.S. citizenship.

Location & Work Mode 100% onsite at Hazelwood, MO.
