Buchart Horn, Inc. What you will be doing:
The Senior Project Manager/Civil Engineer will be responsible for providing project management and technical engineering expertise to a variety of projects ranging from moderate to major scope. This includes planning, scheduling, conducting, and coordinating all phases of a project. The role also involves overseeing personnel, monitoring project performance, and providing guidance to staff. As a team member, you will contribute to projects that positively impact the community in a positive, friendly, and flexible environment. Job Responsibilities: Direct engineering projects and lead project teams. Develop, coordinate, and execute design activities and manage personnel. Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of engineering work. Handle complex engineering challenges and ensure project completion within schedule and budget. Prepare work plans, coordinate multidisciplinary projects, and monitor schedules and budgets. Manage overall project execution, including technical, financial, and client satisfaction aspects. Establish project scope, work plans, and schedules, and communicate these to staff and managers. Maintain project action plans and ensure contractual obligations are met. Develop technical knowledge and monitor industry advances. Provide detailed drawings, respond to RFIs, prepare specifications, and develop cost estimates. Conduct project reviews, enforce QA/QC procedures, and ensure compliance with standards. Lead project acquisition efforts and develop client relationships. Participate in proposal efforts and represent the company at professional events. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university. Licensed Professional Engineer. Experience with PennDOT projects and environmental processes is a plus. Strong understanding of Civil Engineering principles and tools. Proficiency with CAD software (MicroStation is a plus). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Physical Requirements: Sitting at a desk, occasional standing/walking, lifting up to 15 pounds, travel to project sites, and navigating construction areas following safety protocols. Senior level
