Assistant Facilities Manager
Location: Glenview R&D Center, Illinois, United States.
This position is onsite 5 days a week in our Glenview R&D Facility. The role supports the day-to-day implementation of policies, procedures, programs, and workplace services that ensure a well-managed and well-maintained building.
Responsibilities
Ensure day‑to‑day operations of the facility or campus, including janitorial, life‑safety, engineering, site services, and general maintenance, are implemented consistent with KHC policies.
Supervise all maintenance programs relating to the interior and exterior conditions and appearance of the properties.
Respond promptly to requests for building maintenance, repairs, cleaning needs from building occupants and for the implementation of ongoing contract programs.
Compile necessary site‑specific documentation and reports (Property Information Book, Site Operating Manual, Emergency Procedures Manual, OSHA Log, Safety Meeting Log, Janitorial Log, Vendor Certificates of Insurance, etc.).
Prepare budget and financial reports, contracts, expenditures, and purchase orders related to the facility.
Assist in developing capital budgets, including contributions toward a five‑year maintenance plan.
Qualifications
Specialized knowledge and skills in maintenance, construction, engineering, and all facets of property operation & build.
Relevant facility management experience.
CMMS/Work Order Management experience.
Ability to read and understand construction specifications and blueprints.
Proficiency in understanding management agreements and contract language.
Compensation New Hire Base Salary Range: $68,900 - $86,100. Eligible for performance‑based bonus.
