We are seeking a highly skilled and analytical Senior Inventory Planning Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in data analytics, with exceptional Excel skills (including pivot tables) and a strong understanding of inventory management. This role supports a team of 10+ buyers/merchants and manages a team of 2-3 inventory planners. You will forecast, drive process improvements, and handle approvals. This role reports directly to the VP of Merchandising. Responsibilities
Data Analytics Analyze and manipulate large datasets to support decision-making. Use Excel and pivot tables extensively for data analysis. Utilize BigQuery for advanced data crunching to improve speed and efficiency. Team Leadership Support a team of 10+ buyers/merchants, providing guidance and strategic insights. Manage a team of inventory planners, ensuring accurate and timely inventory planning. Foster a collaborative and productive team environment. Forecasting and Inventory Management Develop and manage forecasting models to predict inventory needs. Meet and review daily POs with inventory planners. Deliver target in-stock percentage and GMROI by category/item class and for the company overall. Process Improvement Identify areas for forecasting and process improvements and implement solutions. Oversee the approval processes for inventory and merchandising decisions. Communication and Collaboration Maintain excellent communication with internal teams and stakeholders. Collaborate with the VP of Merchandising on strategic initiatives. Flexibility Responsibilities may evolve over time; other duties may be assigned as needed to support business priorities. Proven experience in data analytics, forecasting, and inventory management. Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and data manipulation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead and manage a team of inventory planners. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements. Demonstrated ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion. Relevant degree or experience in Business, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Preferred Qualifications
E-commerce experience is a plus. Knowledge of SQL and BigQuery; experience with data analysis tools. Experience implementing Open to Buy processes and other inventory optimization methods. On-site Requirement and Compensation
This role requires three on-site days weekly to ensure in-person collaboration, improved communication, effective teamwork, and real-time problem solving. A standard 40-hour work week is expected. Salary: $125,000 - $140,000 USD Equal Opportunity and Compliance
