Purpose
Under the direction of the Project Manager, Senior Engineer, and Engineer III, the Engineer II is responsible for supporting transportation and infrastructure project execution, including inspection and documentation of various civil engineering construction projects.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Direction:
Receive general instructions on key objectives, work on complex assignments with advanced techniques, and review work of junior staff for quality assurance.
Operational and Company Level:
Assist with marketing the firm’s capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships.
Do the Work:
Read and interpret drawings and specifications, document construction activities, measure and calculate quantities, and write technical reports.
Success Metrics and Competencies:
Effective team participation, communication skills, motivation, work ethic, and commitment to quality.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, 3+ years of experience, knowledge of CPM scheduling, AutoCAD, Civil3D, proficiency in MS Office, PE license preferred.
Physical Demands and Environment:
Outdoor work, site mobility, use of PPE, local travel, lifting up to 20 lbs, and occasional out-of-area travel.
Salary ranges from $60,000 to $85,000, with a comprehensive benefits package.
