AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated
Bridge Project Design Engineer IV
for employment in the
Cincinnati, Ohio. At AECOM, we’re delivering a better world. This role will provide the opportunity to directly support transformational projects including the Brent Spence Bridge Corridor project. This project is one of the largest highway infrastructure projects in the country and entails design and construction of existing bridge improvements and a new bridge crossing of the Ohio River between Cincinnati and Covington Kentucky, along with 8 miles of significant highway improvements. Design has begun and will extend over the coming years, providing a unique opportunity for multiple career-defining roles on the project. The job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team. Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by other. Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package. Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings. Prepares technical specification sections. Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Ohio PE or ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 mos. Ability to pass MVR check. Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering degree. 6 + years of bridge design and plan development experience Project experience in Ohio related to ODOT and/or local bridge design project work. PE license in state of Ohio or ability to obtain via reciprocity. Proficiency in software such as MicroStation, LEAP Concrete/Bridge, MathCAD, and MDX Experience in the plan production of transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, and retaining walls. Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, including technical report writing. Structural problem analysis skills (including knowledge/use of design and calculation tools, software) Knowledgeable of standard engineering practices, techniques and applicable codes Knowledge of 3D finite element software such as CSiBridge, MIDAS, SAP2000, etc. is a plus.
