Field Engineer Qcells EPC invites you to join as a Field Engineer to support the planning and execution of solar construction projects across the United States.

Responsibilities

Work directly with the Solar Superintendent and Project Managers to help implement project goals.

Assign tasks to staff to achieve project objectives.

Oversee project logistics and provide direct assistance ensuring timely execution.

Coordinate with Construction Manager, project manager and other leads during project execution.

Communicate delays and issues to leadership and clients.

Maintain and update the 3‑week project task schedule look‑ahead.

Attend weekly project meetings and discuss change events and performance.

Conduct quality control inspections, documentation, and electrical submittals.

Lead safety toolbox talks and enforce Job Hazard Analysis and site‑specific safety plan.

Identify punch list items and observations from previous week.

Prepare all close‑out documents and QA/QC check‑lists.

Support all other assignments and special projects as required by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (required). Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.

At least several years of experience in the construction industry.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong organizational and detail‑oriented skills with a passion for efficient project execution.

Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with project teams.

Experience producing reports that provide insight into project details.

Familiarity with standard practices and procedures in field construction.

Proficiency with project management software such as Procore is a plus.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and be proactive.

Ability to follow directions and take initiative when required.

Physical Demands

Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, and stairways.

Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at elevated heights and in confined spaces.

Walk or move continuously while carrying up to 50 lbs of tools or materials.

Stand or walk for long periods and work extended hours on uneven surfaces.

Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with job duties.

Work Environment

Regular professional office setting with low to moderate noise.

Construction site with moderate to high noise, varied weather, and exposure to chemicals.

Mobility Barriers

Uneven ground level.

Obstructed pathways.

Work performed at low and/or high elevations.

Work performed in confined areas.

Climate / Environmental Conditions

Predominantly outdoor climate with potential for extreme temperatures.

Exposure to excessive humidity, rain, and weather extremes.

Noise from tools, machinery, and equipment.

Potential exposure to chemical substances.

Work around hazardous equipment.
