Position Title: Field Engineering Specialist (Field-based role with travel)

Location: Milford, CT

Job type: Full-time

Travel: Daily travel with up to 25% overnight travel; ideal candidate would reside in Connecticut.

The Opportunity

Roche Support Network provides exceptional support to customers.

You will travel and demonstrate expertise in technical repair and installation for Roche assigned product lines.

You will provide service to laboratory customers in your assigned territory.

Role involves routine technical support, on-site service, repair, and installation of Roche products.

You will be a customer contact for technical and service-related issues and perform preventative maintenance.

Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hardware, software, and system failures; document activities and contribute to quality improvements to maximize customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Deliver on-site service, repair, and installation for Roche product lines.

Serve as a technical and service contact for customers; address issues promptly and professionally.

Document all activities; contribute to process improvements and customer satisfaction.

Travel as required to support customers in the assigned territory.

Qualifications

Required: High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or work experience.

Preferred: 5 years of progressive experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software, or networking/wireless networking; or a Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years of progressive experience.

Successful completion of training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy.

Ability to travel, including overnight travel.

Preferred: 8+ years of progressive experience or a Bachelor's degree plus 4+ years of progressive experience; advanced knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, IT, and basic chemistry; ability to serve as an internal technical resource and maintain strong customer relationships.

Salary and Benefits The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Connecticut is $68,900 – $127,900 annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below. Relocation benefits are not available for this position.
