Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of mechanisms, components and systems Design power plants, machines and equipment Analyze dynamics and vibrations of mechanical systems and structures Supervise and inspect the installation of mechanical systems Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for machinery and systems Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates Credentials
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
AutoCAD Certification Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association Experience and specialization
Computer and technology knowledge
AutoCAD MS Windows Computer-aided design (CAD) MS Office MS Excel Area of work experience
Installation, maintenance and inspection of equipment or facilities Operations or production Purchasing, procurement and contracts Research and development Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury Project management Fabrication Project coordination Design Project planning Area of specialization
