Production Engineer - Digital Engineering

Who We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a passionate and highly motivated Production Engineer, Digital Engineering in Toyota’s Battery Pack Production Engineering Department. This role leads and supports the development and integration of reality capture, AR/VR, and plant/vehicle 3D technologies projects to benefit the Production Engineering & Manufacturing team during new model development with a focus on digitalization and long-term sustainment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Maintain and manage shop digital twins, including completing scans, converting point cloud data, creating Navisworks study files, and supporting engineer/vendor access to data.
Maintain and manage equipment 3D library, update with OEM models, scan existing equipment, and update models post modification.
Lead and support AR/VR integration into engineer job way, managing hardware, configuring AR/VR 3D files, loading to headsets, and supporting working group field trials.
Facilitate integration and issue escalation of DIME supported systems, leading local troubleshooting of systems.
Lead PACCC team cross-shop data/technology job way adoption and integration, intake requests and organize activity, and work with SMEs on efficiency improvement investigations.
Closely collaborate with internal and external groups across Toyota including NAMCs, TMC, TTC, PE support shops, and Plano divisions.
Maintain and manage shop 2D layouts, X-refs, and kamishibai drawings.
What You Bring
BS in Design Engineering Technology or related field, or 2-3 years of equivalent technical or professional experience.
Experience with laser scanning hardware/software.
Proficient with AutoCAD, Catia, SolidWorks, or Inventor.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Experience with 3D printing and modeling.
Experience with project management and status reporting on assigned scope.
Ability to work overtime as needed up to 20%.
Ability to travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally.
