The General Service Technician role is a full-time or part-time hourly position based on business needs. The General Service Technician performs basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. This role delivers exceptional 5 Star service to guests through effective communication of vehicle issues and proposed solutions while meeting time and quality expectations. Salary Range:

$16.00 - $19.00 per hour – Based on experience. This role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives. Responsibilities

Accurately perform basic vehicle services and repairs in accordance with Monro standards of operation. Tire Services – wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, changing, mounting, installation and TPMS service and repair. Vehicle Services – lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance (bulbs, wiper blades, filters, etc.), battery testing and installations. Consistently complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle, identifying, documenting, and communicating additional needed services and repairs. Assist in inventory management including pulling tires and parts, unloading and stocking inventory. Assist with general store duties to keep the store clean and guest-ready in Monro standards. Adhere to safety standards including Wheel Torque, Oil safety and compliance procedures. Test drive vehicles per Monro’s Road Test policy using dedicated routes, following local traffic and safety laws. Follow company policies, governmental standards including environmental codes and ANSI/OSHA standards. Maintain technical knowledge by completing Monro University training courses and modules. Operate and maintain equipment safely (lifts, welders, brake lathes, etc.). Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Automotive training in basic car maintenance/repair or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a current valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory MVR; ability to operate customer vehicles for test drives. Must own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program. Profile & Skills

Ability to take initiative in identifying problems, collecting data, and making practical decisions. Strong customer service skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical issues and write routine reports. Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This job operates in an automotive shop environment with moderate noise and exposure to weather, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. The role may require flexible hours including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, reaching, squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, and twisting are expected. Benefits
