Job Overview As the Manager of Business Development your job is threefold: (1) Lead a team of BDRs to create qualified opportunities for the sales team, (2) Train other members of the BDR team, and (3) take on operational and administrative tasks to help the BDR team perform and exceed expectations. You will be a source of knowledge and best practices amongst the BDRs, and will help to train, onboard, and mentor new BDRs with the help of the Revenue Enablement team and Director of Business Development. This position will report to the Director of Business Development. What you\'ll do: Train other members of the BDR team to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities. Plan for hiring and onboarding new BDRs. Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs for cold calling to conduct business-to-business sales growth. Ensure BDR team members improve performance and abilities over time by providing coaching and feedback in recurring 1:1s. Actively drive performance/productivity KPIs by conducting 1-on-1 coaching, goal setting, problem solving, and by identifying performance and market trends. Work closely with Sales and the Demand Generation team to improve opportunity management and qualification processes. Collaborate with Campaign Managers to develop effective messaging for outbound communications to the team\'s assigned accounts. Provide business updates through reporting and work closely with the Revenue Operations team. Support the team\'s hybrid office culture by working out of the HQ Charlotte office location 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday). What we\'re looking for: Track record of building and leading a team that consistently meets/exceeds goals 2+ years of sales leadership experience leading a team of quota-carrying reps (preferably in Sales or Business Development) 7+ years of sales experience Attract, hire, develop, and retain top BDR talent Passion for coaching and developing early career talent Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred) Experience in the utilization of sales engagement platforms Understanding of B2B SaaS software is preferred Continuous learner and career growth minded Aligns to the AvidXchange Core Values Bachelor\'s Degree strongly preferred About AvidXchange AvidXchange is a leading provider of accounts payable (AP) automation software and payment solutions for middle-market businesses and their suppliers.
