Business Intelligence Analyst II - Information Technology at Pima County. Department: Information Technology. Job Type: Classified. Salary Grade: 15. Pay Range: Hiring Range: $68,931 - $82,721 Annually; Pay Range: $68,931 - $96,512 Annually. The Hiring Range is an estimate and the actual offer will consider skills, qualifications, experience, licenses, training, and internal equity. Responsibilities
Works closely with business units to analyze, document and design solutions for data analysis, interpretation and reporting. Provides data that is accurate, congruent and reliable, and ensures the information is readily available to user departments for analysis or integration with other systems. Leads or participates in in-depth, cross-functional business intelligence solutions across departments; may act as team lead when needed. Interprets business requirements and determines data analysis solutions to meet department needs; designs analytics and custom reports for use across multiple departments. Performs analysis using data from various platforms; researches business problems and creates data models to analyze identified issues. Provides direction for planning, design, and execution of data analysis solutions; reviews test plans and monitors testing to ensure results meet identified needs; supports test teams and resolves issues from tests. Contributes to the development of quality metrics, standards, policies and procedures for BI tools and systems; creates data quality tickets and ensures timely resolution. Researches tools and software frameworks for data analytics; collaborates with vendors to stay current on new technologies; ensures proposed BI solutions adhere to County standards. Designs and delivers end-user training and training materials; provides guidance and problem-solving assistance to other team members. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college, university or technical trade school with a major in computer science, computer engineering, management information systems (MIS), or a closely related field as determined by the department head at the time of recruitment AND five years of business analysis or related technical experience. Or two years with Pima County within a Business Intelligence Analyst I position or similar level position as determined by the department head at the time of recruitment. (Relevant experience and/or education from an accredited college, university or technical trade school may be substituted.) Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the "Education" and "Work Experience" sections of the application. Minimum two (2) years experience querying data in Snowflake. Minimum one (1) year experience with Power BI. Experience using Tableau/Crystal within the last 2 years. Minimum two (2) years experience with Excel/Qlik Sense and/or other analytic tools (writing reports, visualizations, or dashboards). Minimum two (2) years experience with problem analysis. Minimum two (2) years experience with case studies or business process reviews. Minimum two (2) years experience communicating with others and leading stakeholders in person, over the phone and/or via email. Minimum two (2) years experience defining and documenting business problems. Minimum two (2) years experience defining and implementing reporting solutions. Selection Procedure
