Join Noosa Council’s Sport & Active Lifestyles Team at the iconic Noosa Aquatic Centre (NAC) and take the lead in shaping one of Australia’s most exciting aquatic programs. This is your chance to inspire the next generation of swimmers and guide athletes from grassroots participation through to state, national, and international competition. Head Swim Coach & Program Lead – Noosa Aquatic Centre, Noosa, QLD. Permanent Full Time | $73,086 package (including 12% super & 17.5% leave loading). Certified Agreement is currently underway, with a proposed 6.5% increase in 2025. Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a talented coaching team. Build a culture of excellence that supports health and wellbeing, nurtures talent, and drives results. Build and maintain strong partnerships with Swimming Australia High Performance, leveraging sport science and sport medicine support to maximise program outcomes. Collaborate with facility management, staff, families, and key stakeholders to ensure every athlete feels supported and the NAC program thrives. Additional notes: This is not just a coaching role, it’s an opportunity to help shape the future of swimming in Noosa and leave a legacy in one of the country’s most desirable regions. What We’re Looking For

Proven

– at least 5 years’ experience coaching at state/national level and an understanding of a multidisciplined swim coaching program. Qualified

– Swimming Australia Accredited Coaching Certificate (or international equivalent), Senior First Aid, and a current Blue Card. S&killed – strong technical knowledge of strokes, training methodologies, and competition strategies, plus physiological and psychological needs of athletes. Leader & Mentor

– strong leadership with experience in developing athletes and assistant coaches, with the ability to foster a positive and supportive culture, from grassroots through to high-performance. Flexible & Committed

– values-based, team-orientated approach with willingness to work with a variety of stakeholders, with adaptability to work varying hours, including weekends, and travel with teams and athletes for competitions. Additional qualifications in SWIM Australia or equivalent, aquatic coaching, strength & conditioning, or sports science will be highly regarded. Why Work With Us
