Overview
Quality Control (QA) Manager with aerospace manufacturing experience to lead and manage all quality operations. This role emphasizes inspection processes, compliance, and continuous improvement to ensure products meet customer, industry, and regulatory standards. Compensation:
Starting at
$80,000+ annually ,
DOE (Depending on Experience) Responsibilities
Lead all
QA/QC functions , with strong focus on
inspection processes
(receiving, in-process, final). Oversee the
Calibration Program
to ensure all inspection tools meet standards. Manage and train QA inspectors; ensure inspection protocols follow AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer requirements. Drive
root cause analysis
and
Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA)
for non-conformances and audit findings. Track and improve
Quality KPIs
and sub-KPIs for production, inspection, and supplier performance. Maintain and improve the
Quality Management System (QMS)
per AS9100D and industry standards. Interface with
customers and regulatory agencies ; lead internal and external audit preparation and responses. Oversee
Export Compliance
(DDTC, SNAP-R) and
Government Regulations
(JCP, DIBBS, WAWF/PIEE, SAM.gov, GIDEP, FAR/DFARS). Conduct
internal audits
and coordinate third-party or customer audits. Develop and deliver
quality training programs
to managers and operations staff. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by reviewing specifications and quality requirements. Review and approve quality documents: FAI, PPAP, Control Plans, CofCs. Ensure proper documentation and traceability of quality records. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain on quality improvements. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field (). 5+ years in a
QA leadership role , ideally in
aerospace or defense . Deep understanding of
AS9100, ISO 9001 , and inspection standards. Familiar with
FAR/DFARS , ITAR/EAR, and export compliance. Skilled in quality tools:
FMEA, SPC, 8D, Root Cause Analysis , etc. Experience with
non-conformances, MRB , and supplier quality. Strong communication, leadership, and audit management skills. ERP/MRP and QMS software experience .
