Supply Chain Management: Plan, implement, and oversee the supply chain operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and services. Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate contracts, prices, and terms to ensure the best value for the organization. Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the transportation, storage, and distribution of goods. Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve delivery times. Data Analysis: Analyze logistics data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency. Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and logistics activities. Prepare reports and documentation as required. Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or disruptions in the supply chain. Implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. Technology Utilization: Utilize logistics software and tools to manage and track logistics operations. Stay updated with new technologies and best practices in logistics management. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including procurement, production, and sales, to align logistics activities with organizational goals. Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., SAP, BSI, APICS, CSCP, CLTD) are a plus. Experience: Minimum of 6 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field. Skills: Strong understanding of supply chain and logistics processes; Proficiency in using logistics software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, WMS); Excellent organizational and time-management skills; Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; Effective communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Certifications: Relevant certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus. Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various environments, including office settings and warehouses.
