Overview
CDM Smith seeks a Senior Project Manager with experience in industrial water and wastewater projects to join the Industrial Business unit. The role serves as the main point of contact for planning and design of water, water reuse, and wastewater projects and supports business development activities across the United States. Hybrid work is required, with a minimum of two in‑office days at any of the U.S. industrial offices. Responsibilities
Lead water/wastewater projects as the primary Project Manager. Provide technical guidance, senior leadership, and mentoring to enhance design capabilities. Develop and monitor project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring adherence to project objectives. Complete quality assurance/quality control of key deliverables and support projects managed by others. Assist Client Service Leaders with technical marketing for clients nationwide. Participate in professional societies relevant to the industry. Build and maintain positive working relationships with key decision makers in client organizations. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in civil, environmental, chemical engineering, or related field. Minimum 10 years of related experience managing industrial water/water reuse/wastewater projects. PMP (PMI), CCM, or DBIA certification required (within 12 months of hire). Professional engineering (PE) license strongly preferred. Experience managing multi‑discipline project teams and working directly with clients. Excellent communication, networking, and team building skills. Previous business development experience, including proposal preparation and cost estimation for industrial clients. EEO Statement
